CRX® Achillex is a line of products with graded compression to control local swelling after an injury. Swelling decreases the neuromuscular feed-back and makes the joint position sense less accurate. That's why a graded external compression is so important. The Mediroyal CRX® Achillex has been specially designed for Achilles tendon problems, with a graded compression to reduce swelling. The brace provides local compression in combination with a silicone pad that off-loads the tendon. In the heel area of the brace a silicone wedge has been placed to further off-load the tendon. It also comes with a separate silicone heel wedge that can be used on the other foot to even out the increased height. During the first week that wedge can be used on the affected foot to increase the off-loading even more but only with caution not to cause any uneven loading problems on the other foot. The universal design of the Achilles
tendon pad makes it possible to use for both left and right.
