A soft foot drop orthosis, which raises the forfoot when walking, for patients with flaccid paralysis.

Suitable for lace-up shoes where a soft pad is attached on the tounge of the shoe. Constructed with a breathable micropore fabric ankle brace that fastens with two Velcro® straps and has gel padding over the Achilles tendon. The straps helps to place the foot in a correct postion while walking. The low profile of the orthosis allows for maximum comfort. 

Soft orthoses is used when the problem is less severe, but there is a certain need. For more severe injuries, we recommend our rigid AFO orthoses; MR5700, MR5801 and MR5800.

The orthosis can also be used in sandals or barefoot by using a midfoot band. The band wraps around the midfoot, and fastens back on itself with Velcro®. 
The top part has a small loop to which the tensioning elastic is attached, in exactly same way as the pad, acting as a sort of replacement for the pad.
