Proxi® Light Thumb

The Proxi™ Light thumb is a new design that is made of the popular Neptune™ material that is breathable, hydrodynamic and quick drying. This model features a new design where a thermoplastic film has been applied to balance the elasticity of the material. The film provides support to the CMC- and MCP joints of the thumb without the need of a splint.

The Neptune™ material has been laminated together with a loop surface to reduce the need of adding external attachment points. The brace has been fitted with our new low profile micro hook which makes the design extremely low profile. The thermoplastic film reinforcement is hydroscopic and adjusts to body temperature. This means that the thumb brace will shape individually to patient after a couple of hours use. The film reinforcement has been specially designed to provide support over the thenar eminence along with providing abduction assist. The design doesn’t need any edging tape which makes it possible to individually adjust the shape by using a pair of scissors. The shape can be trimmed in all areas with the exception over the hook attachments.
